You Can Make BREAD in the Crockpot!

Did you know that you can make bread in your crockpot? AND its super tasty! I experimented with two different methods- 1 in a loaf pan within the crockpot and another on parchment shaped, then baked directly in the crockpot. Both turned out great! This frees up oven space, keeps your house from getting hot in the summertime, and is surprisingly quick for bread baking! Join the new Facebook Page:   / keepitsimplewithgma   -- Recipes & Ingredients -- 3 1/2 cups flour 2 1/4 tsp yeast 1 tbls sugar 1 1/3 cup lukewarm water 1 tsp salt 2 tbls oil Stir together water, sugar and yeast. Let sit to activate for about 10 minutes. Pour into flour, salt and oil. Stir together and knead for about 5 minutes, adding additional flour as needed. Dough should start to separate from bowl and become more smooth, slightly sticky. Place in greased bowl until doubled in size. Roll out onto floured surface. Knead lightly a couple times and form into loaf or ball. Place into greased loaf pan or on parchment paper and place into preheated crockpot (high).
