2008 Cadillac Escalade Coolant Thermostat Replacement - Suddenly starting running Cold

Replacing out the coolant thermostat in the Escalade as it suddenly started running cold and the dash gage was no longer pointing straight up like is has always done. Fortunately the thermostat was stuck open vs. stuck closed so I could drive on home to fix it. I've never seen the gage be anything but point straight up and didn't want to mess around in case it decided to stick closed as that would have overheated the motor and left me on the side of the road. There are tons of replacement thermostats out there for this vehicle, but I put a link to one out on Amazon through my Associates account in case someone wanted to order on and just throw it in the glove box like I did years ago. Plan on getting a gallon of coolant concentrate (or 2 gallons of 50/50 Mix) as you'll loose quite a bit when the thermostat is pulled. Also, be careful to make sure the rubber tab on the thermostat gasket lines up with the bleed valve on the thermostat disk and that it goes into the notch on the housing...if it is put in upside down, air will be trapped in the system and the motor will overheat from it being incorrectly installed.
