Einar erklärt Eisenbahn: LZB Ersatzauftrag 2064

This video covers the use of the LZB substitute order in three situations on the simulator. The basics are taken from the well-known "LZB Compendium including CIR ELKE." Available in the double book PZB & LZB CIR ELKE. https://www.amazon.de/stores/author/B... The LZB substitute order is indicated by the illumination of the LM "E 40" as soon as the vehicle is within 300 m of the start of the order. When approaching, the following applies: A normal stop is initially indicated. At a main signal indicating "stop," the signal Zs 1 will also be visible. In this connection, travel past the main signal indicating "stop" is permitted. No operator intervention is required. The reference variable Vsoll indicates a permitted speed of 40 km/h. At an LZB block indicator, the substitute order also allows passing a blocking signal indicating a stop, provided it is located at the same location. The "E 40" signal light goes out after passing the relevant block position. Command signals permitting travel at 40 km/h are displayed. At block signals that do not belong to a junction or transfer point, the extinction of the "E 40" signal light is accompanied by the display of regular command signals for continuing travel. As long as the speed is limited to 40 km/h, Vsoll displays 40 km/h, usually Vziel 040, and the target distance indicates the end of the restriction. Depending on the situation, a different target may also be displayed. After passing this point, the train length is counted in 100 m blocks. Once the train has left the area, command signals for the onward travel appear. The LZB takes the train length into account according to the set train data, so that a speed increase can be implemented immediately. If the Zs 1 signal goes out before the front of the train passes, the following applies: The replacement order expires, and a normal stop is displayed again. This order must not be passed! Unlike the Zs 1 signal, an LZB replacement order is only valid when displayed. The sequences are shown in abbreviated form; these intended cuts are clearly visible.
