Oscar Peterson Jazz Piano Vocabulary | 11 Transcribed Excerpts + PDF

A stitched compilation of my 11 Oscar Peterson Jazz Piano Vocabulary excerpts, brought together into one complete performance. This has probably been the hardest yet enjoyable transcription project I've taken on so far. Over the past few months I've analysed performances recorded between 1957 and 1987, selecting ideas that I think best represent Oscar Peterson's incredible harmonic language, technique and rhythmic feel. Whether you've purchased the PDF or you're discovering these excerpts for the first time, I hope this compilation makes studying them easier and inspires you to explore Oscar's playing even further. Every transcription has been written to represent what Oscar Peterson played as accurately as possible. Where you hear small differences in my performance, particularly in the left hand, these are simply physical adaptations. Oscar's hand span was legendary, and there are certain stretches that I can't comfortably reach. The notation itself remains as faithful to the original performances as possible. Contents 00:00 1.
