I stayed overnight at a unique ryokan where many rescued cats live. Inside the inn, there are about 80 cats (60 permanently cared for / 20 looking for adopters). Cats are divided into rooms according to their age and health condition, providing a clean and safe environment. The accommodation plan includes a “Cat Interaction Time” (1 hour), during which you can spend time with the cats under staff supervision in a safe way. The hot springs are natural, free-flowing, and available for private use. Since the stay is room-only, I bought dinner at a nearby supermarket. ※Because the staff are heavily engaged in cat rescue activities and YouTube broadcasting, I felt that customer service differed from a standard hotel. If you plan to stay, I recommend carefully following the rules below. If fully booked, reservations may be required. All cat toys featured in this video were pre-approved by the ryokan staff.
