R.I.P! This elevator was completely replaced in 2015 The lower deck has been "abandonded" and is no longer in use. A hotel stewardess told us that the lower deck was used for the fine & rich people in the past and that it had a bench included so the ariostractic could sit while they rode this elegant historic elevator up to their suites on the upper floors. The upper deck was used for the less wealthy people and it included no seats, so they only had the option to stand in the cab. A special button on the call panel used to raise/lower the elevator car so that each deck could level to each floor.
