How land and people can work together

Imagine a place where people come together with the genuine intention of creating better conditions for everyone. Not just for themselves, but for plants, animals and for those who live in less comfortable situations than us.  This place is Fazenda Compadres. This farm was born around 4 years ago, and 2 years ago I have personally taken on the management of the production systems and the sales. Over this short time, the farm has become a reference for the local community. It now hosts an organic market garden, courses and workshops, and it became the home of Associação Comadres. This association supports women victims of domestic violence and runs a public library, an apothecary, a center for holistic therapy and a donation-based food truck onsite. This is just the beginning, as many more initiatives are brewing!
