Painting Birds in Watercolour
In this watercolour tutorial I talk you through a painting of an American Robin. I go over my painting materials and colour choices, and reasons behind them. I give a breakdown of how to approach the drawing. Then we dive into the painting! Panting birds in watercolour is always fun. In this watercolour tutorial I focus on a simple first wash, really letting all the colours flow together. Once dry we come in with simple shadows, and looking to link these shadows together as much as possible. Keep it simple and have fun! Always a good motto with watercolours.
