This means that you can actually play online in the game(though I'd love to hear about any experiences actually doing this, as the possible lag from online play doesn't sound too nice lmao). These games are developed by the Hawaii Konami team, instead of the usual Tokyo one we've seen up until now. For their first xbox game...I think they did okay. The license list is incredibly small, and exclusively pop songs, and there's a good number of returning songs. I actually really like the new songs that are introduced here, which makes their...interesting charts sort of sour the experience. Another notable aspect that you noticed is the green songs at the end with labels on their banners. Something else this game introduced to the series was DLC songs. For $5 per pack, you could add a few more songs to the game, which was not only cool for the time, but also adds some replay value to the next titles, as we'll see later on. Guess KCEH was ahead of the curve, considering it took till 2022 for Grand Prix to come out and do this as well. Besides that, there is one other major contribution this series made to the arcade that exists to this day: the dance routines. Yup, the choreography you see in the games starting from SN came from Ultramix. This is the most interesting part of the gap between EXTREME and SN to me: the Ultramix games. Before my stepmania song list back in 2023, I didn't even know these games existed, so I've very little exposure to their lists, unlike almost all the games I've covered up to now. In other words, I'm excited to check out the other games too!
