My mom is living with dementia, and moments like this remind us how real the journey can be. Today, her granddaughter, who is 31 years old, went inside for an appointment. A few minutes later, my mom became concerned, got out of the car, and went inside looking for her. In her mind, she was protecting her grandbaby. Dementia changes memory, but it doesn’t change a mother’s love. ❤️
