Authorities are conducting an intensive operation to locate João Gabriel, a 5-year-old non-verbal autistic boy who disappeared last Sunday (26) in the metropolitan region of Curitiba (PR). The boy was last seen leaving to use the external bathroom of the house where he lives with his family in Araucária. Since then, teams from the Fire Department have been working tirelessly in the search. The operation involves more than 200 military personnel and covers a radius of over 15 km. Drones equipped with thermal cameras are being used to detect thermal signals that may indicate the child's whereabouts. The boy's parents were taken to the local police station to give statements as part of the standard investigative procedures conducted by the delegate responsible for the case. Authorities seek to better understand the family routine and any detail that may assist in the search.
