How To Swap a VQ37 VHR (From the Bottom)

In this video, we complete a full engine swap on a Infiniti G37 Sedan, replacing the factory VQ with a fresh VQ37VHR — and we’re doing it the proper way: dropping the motor out from the bottom. Instead of pulling the engine from the top, we lower the entire subframe assembly, making the process cleaner, safer, and more efficient. This is the method Nissan/Infiniti intended for major drivetrain service — and it makes a huge difference. In this video we cover: • Front-end disassembly • Disconnecting harnesses, fuel, and cooling • Dropping the subframe with the VQ37VHR • Swapping components over • Installing the new motor from the bottom • Alignment tips and common mistakes to avoid 🔧 Links for the tools and goodies you may need: Exhaust Hanger Removal Tool - https://amzn.to/4pyronS 1.
