Vanlife life on the Ile-de-Re: This is why we didn't want to leave!

The Ile-de-Re is one of our happy places. You can feel the weight of the world lift as you drive onto this beautiful island just off the french Atlantic coast. We planned for four nights, stayed for six and had to drag ourselves away to continue our travels. We could have happily stayed here all summer long. Join us as we take you round the places to see, the things to do and how we managed to keep things on budget in what is renowned as one of the most desirable places in the world to travel. We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
