Soldering tabs on generally only gets to the barely warm phase. True solder doesn't melt until 375F but spot weld needs to be at least 2550F to bond. The spot weld is a second long. The solder is 7 seconds long. Just so happens 2550F is 7times more than 375F..... Go figure.
