In this episode we examine the overlooked 10-day period 1-10 May 1945, when Himmler was an unofficial but very prominent member of Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz new Reich government at Flensburg. Himmler became in effect a shadow leader, and a conniving power behind the throne. What led him to abandon this position on 10th May 1945 and start south?
