Hen Reedbeds & River Blyth 23 05 26

Oystercatchers, dragonflies, and 18°C at 6am... Hen Reedbeds is a lovely, diverse Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve with viewing platforms, hides, and a small wildflower meadow. This morning's walk began at the main viewing platform close to the car park, continuing through the meadow, along the path beside the reedbeds, across the Halesworth Road and on to the River Blyth wall. The reserve is located on the Halesworth Road (A1095). There is a free car park. What3Words location: pouting.rehearse.flush. The A1095 can get busy, and walkers must cross the road to reach the hides and the river. But it's worth it.
