BAGLIETTO and RINA on the Energy Transition in the yachting industry: a conversation with the CEOs. 🚀 I had an insightful conversation with the CEOs of Baglietto, Diego Michele Deprati and of RINA Services, Paolo Moretti, diving into their groundbreaking initiatives toward a greener future in the yachting industry. 🏗️ Bzero Project: Baglietto is leading the charge with its innovative hydrogen propulsion system. They’ve installed a land-based prototype at their yard to test and refine this technology before integrating it into a 50m+ yacht. 🎤The interview shed light on the collaborative efforts between Baglietto and RINA. Both CEOs agreed that the future of the yachting industry depends on partnerships and knowledge sharing. Baglietto’s innovative yacht designs and RINA’s expertise in certification and regulation are working hand-in-hand to drive the industry forward. This collaboration ensures that new technologies are not only cutting-edge but also safe and compliant with international standards. ⚓️Yachts equipped with this technology can be expected to produce ZERO EMISSIONS up to 75 h at anchor and have a range of up to 20 nautical miles at a speed of 7 knots in ZERO EMISSION mode. The combination of hydrogen and batteries will give to the yacht 4 times more energy in comparison to a traditional yacht of the same dimensions.
