Basic Life Support (BLS) refers to the level of medical care that is used for patients who are experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or other life-threatening conditions. BLS care includes a range of techniques and procedures that can be performed by trained healthcare professionals and laypeople. BLS Steps: 1. Assess the Scene and the Patient: Check for safety and assess the patient's level of consciousness and breathing. 2. Call for Help: Activate emergency medical services (EMS) or alert others in the area. 3. Start CPR: Begin chest compressions and rescue breaths according to BLS guidelines. 4. Use an AED (if available): Follow the device's instructions to deliver a shock if indicated. 5. Continue Care: Continue CPR and use of the AED until emergency medical services arrive or the patient shows signs of regaining consciousness. #BLS #basiclifesupport #Secretstarkmu
