The church is formally known as the Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño de Arevalo and remains one of the district’s most important religious landmarks. 🏀 Back in the plaza, the sounds of basketball and everyday community activity fill the afternoon. During the walk, the church bell marks 4:00 p.m. as people continue moving through the plaza and nearby public buildings. 🏙️ From the plaza, the route heads onto Bonifacio Street, where shops, vehicles, pedestrians, local businesses, and roadside activity create a busier atmosphere than the quieter streets nearby. 🛍️ A short walk west leads to Arevalo Public Market. Inside, the aisles contain familiar neighbourhood-market goods including fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, eggs, household items, and other everyday products. 🍢 Public markets remain important local centres for food, trade, conversation, and daily errands. Even when the products are similar to those found in other Iloilo markets, each market reflects the character and routines of its surrounding community. 🚶 After leaving the market, the walk returns along Bonifacio Street before turning into Rosal Road and the smaller residential streets behind the main commercial area. 🏘️ The contrast is immediate.
