Hometown hero Bass snagged third, McGruff a close second, but Zandolie? Two calypsos, national fame, end of story! McGruff, a Rio Claro County Council alum, started his calypso hustle in '58, turning the place into a calypso hotspot while Lord Superior ruled Port of Spain. He joined Southern Brigade in '61, then became a Spektakula star in '91, dropping political punchlines and laughs for a decade!
