First, we will place a marker on the extrusion head to draw a reference line on the X and Y axes. Then, we will place a sheet of paper on the heated bed and manually move the X-axis 100 mm using the printer's menu. We will draw a line with the marker and measure the distance traveled using calipers. We will repeat the process for the Z-axis, raising and lowering the height of the easel or bed (depending on the model). This will allow us to compare the theoretical distance entered (100 mm) with the actual distance traveled on the axis. To calibrate the extrusion, we will mark a point on the filament, extrude 100 mm, and measure how far we actually advance. By comparing the theoretical and actual values, we can calculate the new steps/mm value for the extrusion. We will modify these values in the printer's firmware according to a shared calculation table, considering the current steps/mm and the experimentally measured values. Precise adjustment will prevent filament waste and improve print quality. I will explain the process clearly and simply, ideal for inexperienced users. #3Dprinting #3Dprinters #calibration #steppermotors #stepspermillimeter #stepspmm #XYZaxes #extruder #printquality #firmware #measurement #markers #paper #measuringtape #caliper #millimeters #distance #movement #printermenu #calculationtable #stepadjustment #precision #tutorial #FDM #advancedcalibration #steppermotors #extrusioncalibration #filamentwaste #optimization #homemade3Dprinting
