Strawberry Lake - 4WD Trail Run & Camping
Join me as I head to Strawberry Lake, CA with fellow Jeep JKUR owner Jimmy. The trail is full of boulders and narrow tree passages, so pay attention to your line and try not to break your rig. Full size rigs not recommended. I recommend you have a high lift 4WD vehicle with a minimum of 33" tires (35" really), rock sliders, skid plates, and perhaps a winch. Locking differentials are nice to have but I think you can get away without them if you use the left foot braking with throttle technique. There are four camp sites at the end of the trail next to the lake. There's also an outhouse. I recommend going there during the week, since a lot of Fresno natives love to hit the trail on weekends. Expect to see some serious rock crawlers on weekends! No cell service and no tow service. Good luck! There are fish in the lake, but nobody caught any during this trip (despite a lot of effort).
