5. Buying an MGB (updated version)
Buying an British MGB Roadster after 30 years away from the marque. I wanted a basic car which had not been "glammed" up with all the trinkets, baubles and accessories sold by MG specialists or clubs. I saw many nice cars but did not buy them for this reason.I bought privately. I would never buy (or sell) an MG at an auction house, or from someone who has only owned a car less than 5 years. I might use an established classic car/MG used car dealer. I also do not buy expecting to make lots of money from it. I like an MGB as it should be, basic, nice to look at fun to drive. Just like Cecil, Syd, John and Don meant them to be. Safety Fast Still !
