Classic Canadian Canoe trip + INCREDIBLE CLOSE ENCOUNTER with a Moose - Quetico Provincial Park
If ever there was a place that represented a quintessential Canadian canoe trip, Quetico would be it. In northwestern Ontario, bordering the Boundary Waters in the US, Quetico is one of the world’s premier canoeing destinations. With dark, clean water, unbelievable fishing and camping there’s hardly anywhere else I’d rather visit. In the early summer of 2023 I decided to make the journey to Quetico for another canoe trip. What a trip it was. Canoeing and portaging through lakes, rivers, bogs, and burns. With amazing fishing along the way. I also had an incredible moose encounter early on in the trip to get things going. This was a trip to remember. As I was editing this film I was already planning my next trip there. Quetico… I already can’t want to go back.
