Is This the Best Anchorage in Sarasota? Midnight Pass is it!

Took the boat out to Midnight Pass near Siesta Key and found a surprisingly quiet anchorage right off the beach. This is one of those spots that’s only accessed by boat — shallow water, easy to anchor, and direct walk-up access to the beach. Since we went on a weekday, it was noticeably less crowded than most Sarasota-area sandbars. In this video: • Running out to Midnight Pass • Water depth & anchoring conditions • Beach access from the boat • Crowd levels (weekday vs weekend) • Overall boating experience If you’re boating around Sarasota, Siesta Key, or Casey Key and looking for a laid-back stop that isn’t packed, this is a solid option. Drop a comment if you’ve run out to Midnight Pass before — curious how busy you’ve seen it on weekends. #BoatingFlorida #MidnightPass #SiestaKeyBoating #SarasotaBoating #boatlife 0:00 Intro 0:53 Getting Gas 1:33 New Park Coming 2:23 Arriving at Midnight Pass 3:48 We’re Here 8:10 Shell Trees 10:28 Leaving Midnight Pass 11:33 Outro
