Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen is one of the origin stories of how I got pushed completely into Black metal and piano playing. Around the time I was dabbling around piano playing with metal I got a lot of flak in the late 90s early 2000s in India “piano doesn’t belong in metal” etc This album Stormblast and this track in many ways helped reaffirm my belief and direction and has been constant cornerstone in my music life. I’ve always tried to cover this track but never seemed to cover it start to end for various reasons. REALLY happy to finally cover this beautiful track completely and quite happy with the way it has turned out (kept the mistakes in) Hope you enjoy it! I sure did while making it!
