We BEAT Our Boat Fatigue - Now We're Back & Making Progress [EP.19]

Welcome to our 19th episode, where we are back to building our 1980s bilge keel sailing boat, called Firefly (a Cobra 750). We have, over the last few months, suffered quite badly with boat building fatigue, and felt we were getting no-where fast. We have a blog about it here: https://www.baileysintwild.com/boat-f... So, we took some time off, to progress with our kayaking, and to try to maintain our health. When we say that, we mean it’s often a fight just to stay where we are health wise. It's rare to improve any, and we can drop off quite quickly if we do not exercise enough, so we consider it maintenance. In addition to our normal worries health wise, though, Cerys' condition got much worse recently, and she's been in surgery. As the video explains, she was just three days away from surgery when we recorded it. As I write this, she's just nine days out of surgery, and finally at home resting (only one day at home). She's doing very well, so far. Fingers crossed! Our boat building now, conversely, feels like it has accelerated. We feel like we understand things a little better, we're making better choices, and it's just seeming to flow. Thus, the boat is starting to look clean, shiny, and she's building into something we can really be proud of sailing. Boat building is so much more complicated than if we'd bought a van (which we seriously considered at one point), but it will be worth it in the end. This video is a bit quick, with most footage fast forwarded to fit as much in as possible. We'll try to slow it down a bit for the next one.
