Surprise Gendarmerie Intervention by the Lake!! We were planning a peaceful camping trip by the lake with our pickup-mounted camper van. While my wife and I were having coffee, we were unfortunately reported to the gendarmerie by a picnicker. The gendarmerie stated that we had to lock our camper van like a vehicle, so we cut the night short. This unexpected event added a different flavor to our camping adventure.
