Beauty and Tessa & The Foals May 19 2026

Joaquin's band arrived at the seep in stages, and there was plenty to watch. Beauty and Tessa were the first to arrive, each with a foal at her side. Beauty's youngster with the pretty face markings and Tessa's younger, darker foal stayed close to their mothers as they approached the water. Meanwhile, Joaquin wasn't quite ready to relax. The band stallion could be seen on the cliff keeping a close eye on Phoenix, who was hanging back from the rest of the group. If you've been following this band, you know that Joaquin and Phoenix haven't always been seeing eye to eye lately. Whether it is the new foals or something else entirely, Joaquin seemed determined to keep track of what Phoenix was doing before joining the rest of the family. It's always fascinating to watch the little details that reveal the relationships within a wild horse band.
