Why I Chose The Aventon Pace 500 vs. The Level
When choosing an Aventon ebike, you may be torn between the Level and the Pace. In this video, I will explain our thought process of how my wife and I chose the Pace 500 instead of the Level. There are about 7 key factors, but it mostly comes down to riding style. We ride on paved roads and crushed gravel rail trails while camping at state parks. The most important factor to us was the comfortable upright cruiser seating position of the Pace, which the Level does not offer. If you are stuck on the front suspension fork, I was too, but realized it is a cheap fork that would be nice to take out some bumps, but ultimately not necessary, especially with our suspension seat posts and riding position that does not lean the rider's weight onto the front. After trying both bikes, the decision was actually very easy - the Pace was much better for our needs, and I was left wondering why the Level even exists. Our verdict was that we would rather have a cruiser style bike for relaxed riding position, and the Pace wins easily. In our opinion, the front suspension fork should not affect your decision. The Suntour suspension seatposts we purchased are amazing. The bike is very comfortable and capable of going anywhere the Level could go. The palm grips, swept back handlebars, wider padded saddle, and adjustable stem are perfect for us.
