It started in Virginia, USA, by an unknown senior deaconess. Having truly repented before the Lord, she decided to preach this true gospel and, from now on, become a ‘church.’ Just like the underground churches in China, she started a house church. As she evangelized, they began gathering at noon on Saturdays. Later, those who heard the news gathered together and began sharing Holy Communion. Pastor Sung Hyun-kyung joined in to preach at noon on Saturdays. Eventually, they came to call it the ‘Virginia Saturday Gathering,’ and now they are making it known publicly.
