Spark Plugs | 2008 Triumph Sprint ST 1050
Tools needed: 5/8" Spark Plug Socket (With extension) Magnet poking stick (If needed) 9mm Hex Bolt 8mm and 10mm socket Stock Plugs: NGK CR9EK Upgraded Iridium Plugs: NGK CR9EIX Spark Plug Torque Specs: 13ft/lbs | 18nm | 159 lbf/in Steps: 1. Seat removal ( 2x 9mm Hex bolts) 2. Luggage rack removal (4x 9mm hex bolts) 3. Fairing removal (4x 9mm hex bolts) 4. Seat hinge removal (2 8mm bolts) 5. Gas tank hung removal (1x 8&10mm bolt) Remove 2 electrical connectors and two fuel lines Slide gas tank back and up 6. Disconnect sensors 7.Remove air box top (multiple Phillips screws) 8. Remove air filter 9. Remove 4 bolts holding air filter on 1 up top on the airbox (8mm) two on the bottom (10mm) and 1 on the small plastic box at the top 10. Disconnect spark plug boots and remove them by pulling them up 11. Use a 5/8 Socket for spark plugs with extension to remove spark plugs. 12. Install new spark plugs (13ft/lbs) 13. Put spark plug boots back on (firm pressure). Make sure they are seated nicely. 14. Put the airbox box back on with the expansion tank The throttle bodies will be sealed perfectly, if you see a spring sticking out of the airbox seal when you put the airbox back on, fix the seal and put the spring inside the rubber seal and push it back onto the throttle bodies. 15. Put the air filter back on 16. Close the air filter top with Phillips screws 17. Plug the electrical connectors back 18. Put the gas tank on the bike and plug the two electrical connectors and two fuel lines THIS IS WHERE YOU START THE BIKE AND TEST IT 19. Line the tank up and out that long bolt through 20. Line the seat hinge and screw the two bolts onto the side with proper hinge angle 21. Put the fairings back in (4x 9mm hex bolts) 22. Put the luggage rack back on (8x 9mm hex bolts/ 4 per each side) 23.
