Changes to Supports for BOTPs in Ireland
Welcome to this recorded webinar for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) living in UCTAT accommodation. This webinar was jointly delivered by the Irish Red Cross (IRC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as part of a series of information sessions for residents living in UCTAT accommodation. The session provides an overview of recent government announcements regarding accommodation support for BOTPs and what these developments may mean in practice. It covers the planned wind-down of state-provided accommodation, the information currently available about the proposed Temporary Protection Transition Scheme, planned changes to the Accommodation Recognition Payment (ARP), and the supports, guidance and practical next steps available to help residents prepare for the transition. The information presented reflects updates shared by the Department of Justice, Home Affairs, and Migration and was accurate at the time of recording.
