Readings in Probability and Statistics: What do you mean by the word "Likely"
We read a small part from the book "The Art of Uncertainity" by Sir David Spiegelhalter where in he discusses how to put probability values to vague terms that we use in daily life. For example, what do we mean when we say the term "most likely" in terms of numerical probability value. This will revealed through a nice story where in the inportance of converting these vague terms into numbers is stressed.
