Stage One Speakers by Electro Tec Audio

I put the Electro-Tech Audio Stage One system to a real-world test during one of the longest DJ events I’ve worked—10½ hours from start to finish. And this wasn’t an indoor, climate-controlled event. This was a fully outdoor event in the Dallas, Texas area, with temperatures reaching around 100°F. That meant the Stage One tops and subwoofers had to perform for more than 10 hours in extreme Texas heat while providing sound throughout the event. In this video, I take you along for the entire experience. You’ll see me arrive at the venue, unload the equipment, set up the Stage One tops and subs, and get the system ready for a long day of DJing. After completing the setup, I get on camera and share my initial thoughts about the system, the setup process, portability, and what I expected from the speakers going into a 10½-hour outdoor event. But the real test comes after the event is over. After DJing for more than 10 hours in temperatures around 100°F, I come back on camera to give my thoughts on how the Stage One system performed in a real working DJ environment. I talk about the sound, performance, setup and breakdown experience, and what it was like relying on the system for an extended outdoor event in extreme heat. This isn’t a review based on listening to the speakers for a few minutes at a trade show or reading specifications online. We first had the opportunity to see and hear the Stage One system at Photo Booth Expo and Mobile Entertainment Expo, and since then, we’ve had the opportunity to actually use the system in the field. The purpose of this video is to document that experience and give DJs and event professionals a real-world look at what it’s like to transport, set up, and use the Electro-Tech Audio Stage One tops and subs during a demanding 10½-hour outdoor event.
