From walking with Robert Macfarlane in the Lake District, to the “cultural phenomenon” that is The Lost Words, singer and musician, Beth Porter talks about how the folk collaboration with Karine Polwart, Rachel Newton, Julie Fowlis, Kris Drever, Kerry Andrew, Seckou Keita and Jim Molyneux came to fruition. The album is released on 12 July. 'The Lost Words: Spell Songs' is a musical companion piece to The Lost Words book by writer Robert Macfarlane and artist Jackie Morris, described by the Guardian as a ‘cultural phenomenon’.
