Walking through a Ghost Town with ZERO Direction

I headed out to Steiglitz Historic Park in Victoria for what was supposed to be a scenic bushwalk through an iconic Australian ghost town. Instead, I ended up playing a guessing game with some of the most confusing (and missing) trail signage I’ve ever encountered! From mismatched markers like the Wrixon St sign to DIY posts that left me with zero direction, navigating the trail became just as much of an adventure as exploring the historic area itself. Along the way, I still managed to spot some incredible local wildlife, including a black wallaby and a kangaroo, and took in the rugged beauty of the rocky valley. If you're planning a day trip from Melbourne to explore Victoria's ghost town history, definitely watch this first so you know what to expect on the tracks! Have you ever gotten turned around by terrible trail markers?
