Most people think San Diego riding is all beach paths and coastal roads… …but some of the best terrain is hidden inside the canyon systems running through the middle of the city. This ride starts near Pacific Beach before climbing inland through Clairemont and dropping into Tecolote Canyon — one of the most unique riding areas in San Diego. The route includes: rolling mesa roads hidden dirt connectors steep canyon climbs eucalyptus-lined trails and fast transitions between urban streets and wild terrain Tecolote Canyon completely changed the feel of the ride and ended up being the highlight of the day.
