In the year ending July 2024, Peel Region lost more than 34,000 people on net to other parts of Ontario, and Mississauga is the biggest city in Peel. Toronto and Peel together made up the entire net outflow of residents leaving for elsewhere in the province. The part that does not show up on a price chart is who is leaving. A lot of them are long-time owners with paid-off homes who are not being forced out. They are choosing to go.
