In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that the naval blockade on Iran would be lifted immediately, writing, "Ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz due to the incredible and unprecedented naval blockade, which we will now lift, can begin the process of 'coming home!'" In return, according to Trump's post, Iran must immediately open the Strait of Hormuz, toll-free, unrestricted maritime traffic in both directions, and remove all existing mines, many of which, he claimed, have already been destroyed by explosives using advanced US minesweepers. However, an Iranian source denied the US president's statements to the Fars News Agency.
