YERKÖYDE ADETA MÜZELİK TARİHİ UN FABRİKASI
Anadolu'da Atatürk'ün talimatı ile hububat üretiminin artmasıyla birlikte ortaya çıkan depolama ihtiyacını karşılamak amacıyla Devlet Demir Yolları'nın geçtiği bölgelerde kurulan buğday silolarından birisi de 1937 yılında Yozgat'ın Yerköy ilçesinde tesis edildi. Buğdayın işlenip, un haline getirilmesi amacıyla siloların bulunduğu Bağlarbaşı Mahallesi'nde 1941 yılında hububat öğütme tesisi kuruldu. Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO), hububat depolamasını özel sektöre devretmesi sonucunda tarihi hububat siloları atıl kalırken, tarihi un öğütme tesisi özel sektör tarafından işletiliyor, bölgenin kaliteli un ihtiyacını karşılamaya devam ediyor.
