Alén, luz de luna - Capítulo 33

This telenovela was filmed entirely in natural settings in the city of San Martín de los Andes. It stars Gustavo Bermúdez, Héctor Alterio, Silvana Di Lorenzo, and Silvia Montanari. Pablo's father (Alterio) had spent a long time in prison for a crime he didn't commit. During that time, his son (Bermúdez) was adopted by a couple who, before dying, left him a house in Patagonia as an inheritance. Father and son meet in that city and, unaware of their blood relationship, become close friends. At the same time, Pablo falls in love with his neighbor Nora (Silvana Di Lorenzo), an older woman with a son. Pablo's real mother, Fanny (Montanari), is a powerful politician about to become governor of the province. She gave her newborn son to a trusted person whom she asked to make him disappear. The central theme of the soap opera is the relationship between this father and son who, after so much time apart, will reunite to make up for lost time. In 1996, when the city of San Martín de los Andes celebrated the Montañés Festival, 2,000 people gathered around the participants of the traditional axe-cutting competition. The soap opera's production team took the opportunity to film a scene from one of Fanny's (Montanari) many political rallies. Currently, a tourism agency bearing the same name as the novel preserves the cabin that belonged to Pablo and Nora, the characters played by Gustavo Bermúdez and Silvana Di Lorenzo. "Alén, luz de luna" (Alén, moonlight) won three Martín Fierro Awards (Best Telenovela, Best Production, and Héctor Alterio for Best Leading Actor).
