International Women’s Day Special: Giving Back to Queen's College Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria One of my most meaningful experiences this year was my visit to Queen's College, Yaba, Lagos—my alma mater! As a proud Queen's College alumna (‘98 set), I pledged an annual Ariyike Arise Initiative cash prize along with copies of my books for the best graduating Literature student. During my visit, I spoke to the girls about the lifelong sisterhood that QC represents and shared how important it is to stay focused, make good friends, and work hard in their studies.
