The Main Loop is a flat, accessible 1-2 mile walk through Cathedral Grove and along Redwood Creek. The Canopy View Loop climbs to hillside overlooks above the forest floor. The Bootjack Trail pushes deeper into quieter groves away from crowds. Reservations are required for parking and entry most of the year, but a small no-permit window exists after 5pm. All three routes start from the visitor center and return on boardwalks through the core grove. 00:00 Why Muir Woods? 00:39 Getting There 01:35 Main Loop Trail 08:24 Shop & Cafe 08:57 Canopy View Loop 14:03 Bootjack Loop 18:35 No Permit Entrance --- Disclaimer: Some of these links are affiliate links where I'll earn a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you.
