When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, attempting to wipe our country off the face of the earth, each of us faced a choice: succumb to paralyzing fear or stand and fight on our own front. For me, this album became a personal spiritual warfare and a frontline bastion. The very name of the project, INSURRECTUM (Latin for "The Risen" / "The Insurgent"), clearly reflects its core: it is the uprising of a living spirit against crushing chaos, darkness, and occupation. It is a musical shield and sword, forged in the grim realities of modern warfare. Musically, this is monumental Progressive/Symphonic Death Metal: long epic compositions, tons of guitar fat, a crushing rhythm section, and cinematic orchestral movements that make your blood run cold. Those familiar with my work will instantly recognize the genetic code of LAST BATTLE circa 2022, but elevated to an entirely new, significantly harsher, and more technical level. The lyrical concepts are based on re-imagined and re-recorded material from the 2011 LAST BATTLE album, "The War". 💥 ATTENTION, CRITICALLY IMPORTANT NUANCE: I have prepared two distinct versions of this album — one entirely in Ukrainian and one entirely in English. However, these are NOT mere remixes or standard translations over the same backing tracks. These are two completely different works in terms of their musical arrangements, structures, and sonic content! Each version possesses its own unique soundscapes and atmosphere. Conceptually, the release is a three-pronged weapon, divided into three fundamental chapters: ⚔️ CHAPTER I: THE WARFARE (Medieval Mysticism) The story of a crusader knight. His memories, his scars, the icy breath of death, and an unyielding call to never remain a passive piece of meat when evil knocks at your door. In times when a real Russian enemy attempts to destroy all living things on our soil, these medieval ideals of uncompromising defense of one's homeland and the weak serve as the ultimate example to follow. Piercing the Abyss 🔥 CHAPTER II: THE SPIRITUAL (Damnation of Hell) A direct report from the lake of fire. We deliver an uncompromising strike against Satan's pride, stare into the eyes of his followers, feel the stench of this decaying world, and wrap it all up with a grand finale — Armageddon and the absolute, total victory of Jesus Christ. The Last Battle ⚧️ CHAPTER III: THE SOCIAL (Anti-LGBT Manifesto) This is a session of extreme surgery performed without anesthesia. The track "Sterilization of Souls" stands as a harsh manifesto against LGBT ideology. This cult and its destructive narratives primarily target our children. It warps human consciousness and stands as something completely anti-natural — meaning it is nothing but non-viable decay. For any overly concerned "tolerant" critics: we target the serpent that sows this filth, not the unfortunate victims whose souls this cult has captured. Thus, there is no extremism here — simply a hygienic reaction and the stance of a free man opposing a twisted cult. 10. Sterilization of Souls 🎪 BONUS: Experimental Madness To conclude, a rich dessert served with a touch of dark humor. An alternative version of the song "The Betrayer," delivered in a highly exotic fashion... Brutal Death Metal Cabaret! Imagine Satan being judged to the soundtrack of a dissonant, hellish variety show where demons stand in for clowns. It turned out wild, morbid, and incredibly fun. 11. For the armchair critics who are already preparing comments like: "Oh, but this isn't real, it's just AI!", I have a simple piece of advice: try using a computer to create something equally monumental, noteworthy, and hardened by sound yourself before you start lecturing anyone on how technology works.
