EAST ARNHEM LAND | WE WEREN'T EXPECTING THIS OUT HERE … 🦈 CENTRAL ARNHEM ROAD | FISHING

💥 We’ve made it to East Arnhem Land — and the real adventure starts now! After eleven days on the road, hundreds of kilometres of dirt, corrugations, dust and river crossings … we’ve finally made it. In this episode, we leave Mainoru Station at sunrise for the final 480km push into Nhulunbuy. It’s a huge day on the road with no stops in between — just dust, trucks, and more dust. After eight and a half hours, the blacktop leads us into the Caravan Park at the Gove Boat Cluband the coastline of East Arnhem Land. But the road is only half the story! We’ve pulled together some of our favourite moments on the water from our three weeks here — fishing, too many sharks! Exploring, and making the most of this incredible part of the NT. And next week, we’ll take you somewhere even more remote … Banu Banu on Bremer Island. 👉🏼 Don’t forget to subscribe & follow along as we explore more of East Arnhem Land in our Sunland LTD off-road caravan & Chevy Silverado HD. 🎟️ PERMITS REQUIRED: ✅ Transit Permit – to cross the Central Arnhem Road (free). ✅ Recreation Permit – to visit the recreation areas. To buy takeaway alcohol in East Arnhem Land you’ll need a liquor permit from Licensing NT, & it’s best to apply before you arrive. Permits aren’t issued after hours or on weekends, so if you don’t have one sorted in advance you could miss out. 🍺 For your liquor permit you’ll need to provide: • A completed application form • Photo ID (driver’s licence or passport) • Your Dhimurru access permit (if camping) • Proof of travel plans — this can be your itinerary, booking confirmations, or even your Dhimurru permit invoice Where to Apply for Permits: 👉🏼 Transit & Recreation Permits (NLC): https://www.nlc.org.au/permits 👉🏼 Dhimurru Recreation Passes: https://online.rezexpert.com/permits?... 👉🏼 Liquor Permit: https://nt.gov.au/…/alcoh…/liquor-per...
