Comic Color Guides - Coloring Comics Before Computers - Tom Luth and Groo the Wanderer
Not only do I love the Artwork of Sergio Aragonés, but I have come to really love the colour work that Tom Luth (and some of the others who have stepped in when needed) brings to my favourite Groo the Wanderer comics. I have managed to collect (images) of several Groo the Wanderer Color Guides and friend of Groo Tube, Ryan Simmons, has sent some spectacular photos of the cover colour separations for Epic Groo #1. I briefly explore how colour in the comics works and then spend a bunch of time looking at the wonderful colour guides of Tom Luth and compare them to the final printed comics.
