There are many ways to quit drinking alcohol. Even without therapy (a big BUT). Some even manage to live completely without alcohol before becoming addicted. Others question the purpose of drinking after their first detox and decide to live a life of abstinence. Yes, these cases do exist, but unfortunately, in my experience, they are very rare. Therapy, a long-term detoxification program, usually brings the desired success. Here, too, I must not conceal the high relapse rate when it comes to alcohol. But this shouldn't deter anyone, because ultimately, it's you who is undergoing therapy, not others. In this video, I talk about myself and how I managed, in my own way, to stop drinking to this day (September 23, 2025). This isn't intended as a guide for other alcoholics to do the same. Addiction and everything that comes with it is always individual. I shied away from recording such a video for a long time.
