Soften Up: Managing Post-Radiation Fibrosis and Trismus
Fibrosis and trismus are common side effects of radiation therapy for head and neck cancer — and they can significantly affect a survivor’s ability to speak, eat, and maintain mobility and comfort. This session features a multidisciplinary panel of experts in speech-language pathology, physical therapy, and survivorship care, along with a survivor who will share his lived experiences. Together, they’ll explore practical strategies for prevention, early intervention, and long-term management to help patients and caregivers navigate these challenges with greater confidence and support.
