Pendant longtemps, je suis resté fidèle à ma façon de jouer, sans vraiment m’aventurer dans les techniques modernes de basse développées par des maîtres comme Victor Wooten. Peut-être par habitude, peut-être parce que chaque musicien suit naturellement son propre chemin. Et puis un jour, la curiosité reprend sa place. J’ai commencé à explorer ces approches, ces sons, ces gestes qui ouvrent de nouvelles perspectives. Finalement, j’aime beaucoup ce que j’y découvre. Comme quoi, même après des décennies passées avec un instrument entre les mains, il reste toujours des portes à pousser et des horizons à élargir. L’apprentissage ne s’arrête jamais. Maybe out of habit, maybe because every musician naturally follows their own path. But curiosity always finds its way back. I recently started exploring these approaches, these sounds, and these techniques that open entirely new musical possibilities. In the end, I really enjoy what I’m discovering. It proves that even after decades with an instrument in your hands, there are still new doors to open and new horizons to explore. Learning never truly ends.
